The challenge

Hilary doesn’t follow the rules, and yet her branding still needed to get out of the box.

Hilary has a huge vision. A vision that could change the way the world thinks and works. Yet in trying to reach the largest audience possible, she had run into a challenge that many face.

Her message wasn’t as clear as it could be because her target audience was too broad. She needed to make focused decisions that would align with her vision.

The direction

Big business meets Austin cool.

After a successful career in the corporate world, Hilary left with the mission to make work more human. Her manifesto?

BE UNPROFESSIONAL.

This, coupled with Hilary’s effortless cool, became our guiding principle. We explored a visual direction that was textured + layered, like the human experience, but with a bold and unexpected pop of in-your-face color.

Our goal was to create a brand that could speak to the boardroom while introducing out-of-the-box thoughts and ideas to shake up the status quo.

The outcome

A brand manifesto for a new way of work and life.

I worked closely with Hilary to put a face to her audience and craft a message that would cut through the noise and call them to action.

Through a series of guided decisions, we outlined a strategy for positioning her as a thought leader and a visual identity that would underscore her message online.

Her brand now feels like an extension of the cool, fun and irreverant thought leader that she is and the world is listening.
