Janelle grew up in a town of 2,000 people and 5,000,000 trees. She quickly shipped herself to New York City, where the people-to-tree ratio was more to her liking. She graduated from Pratt Institute in 2009, with a degree in Graphic Design and a healthy appreciation for exacto knives and rubber cement.
In an attempt to cure her chronic wanderlust, Janelle spent four years as a Digital Nomad, backpacking through Europe, Central & South America, Eastern Asia, and a tiny bit of Africa while working as a designer through her freelance entity, Interabang Creative. She's up to 49 countries, and is hoping for something special for #50.
She finally decided to put away her backpack in early 2014, and has found a home in DC working as the Creative Lead at Bittersweet Creative, taking her art supplies out of storage, and making a comprehensive exploration of every happy hour special in the District. She collects passport stamps, vintage letterpress punctuation marks, and new friends.
